Its Time for Another Year of Fantasy Football (2010 Edition)
I know... It seems early.. But Football training camp is upon us, and that means that it's almost that time... Football season. As some of you know the Empire has a Fantasy Football league. We are always looking for new Emps who would like to join us. You get to compete against people such as the Relentless and BinkDeBook. How can you not want to join and defeat these people? :). And we have a huge trophy that is passed around to the winners. All for a small nominal software maintenance fee.

I, for one, am looking forward to another good year of Fantasy Football, and its been way to long since I had that Trophy in my house... and I miss it! :)

Lord of the Rings Online is Going Free to Play
Lord of the Rings online is going free to play. Free? What does that mean?
Well there are several things this means.
First: Anyone who wants to venture into Middle Earth may do so, with no out of pocket cost.
Second: Those who already play will receive benefits for their past, and future play.
Third: Lots of stuff will change.
Fourth: Lots of stuff will stay the same.
So far, I haven’t told you a lot about it, so here are a few details.
Those with subscriptions, or lifetime memberships will receive “points” that they can use in the in game store. This store will have a variety of items available for everyone. Those playing the free to play option will be able to buy more content and such in this store.
Not all of the details have been released, as it is still in closed beta, and anyone in the beta is bound by the NDA.

Please check it out, and feel free to look up any members of The Empires in game for help, advice, or whatever your needs are.

Dae Wins the 2009 Empire Cup!
A big Congrat for Dae, winner of the 2009 Empire cup (The Tarnum). It was a turbulent season with the loss of one of our members. The records were close from day one among everyone, and most everyone had a chance to make the playoff near the end. Dae, who lost last year in the championship, made it back to the big game, and won it handily this year! So everyone wish him a big congrat!
If you are interested in challenging our past and present champs, please submit early to the Empire Football league forums and get in on the fun next season. It's never too early to start thinking about next year!

The Empire is on the Map
Introducing the Empires Community map. Now you can see just where all our members live and game. This map is viewable to all. However only our valued members will be able to add there own personal map marker. There will be a link added to the left in our modules section for any who would like to go take a look. Shortly we are hoping to have a small image on our front page. All information on how to add your marker can be found in our member’s real life forum here.

Haewin Wins the 2008 Empire Cup!
A big HOORAY for Haewin, winner of the 2008 Empire cup. After a season of lurking near the top, he won handily in the championship game by more than a hundred points, sealing his victory. If you are interested in challenging our past and present champs, please submit early to the Empire Football league forums and get in on the fun next season. Warhammer Offical Guild Launched
The Empire is proud to announce the formation of the Empire of Ironfist with Kaldor as it's Magistrate. Warhammer is based the on the Warhammer universe and we have made our home on the Ironfist server playing Order. Quite a few of our members started playing in Beta and during early access so we had an excellent base to start from with many Emps, both new and old, joining us at release. Currently we have over 30 guild members and we will continue to grow. At this time we are doing a mix of PvE. PvP and raids to level both our characters and the guild. The majority of the guilds actively played characters are level 25+ and the guild is closing on level 15 at a rapid pace. Thus far we have made great strides in game and will continue to do so.

Age of Conan Launched
The Empire is proud to announce the formation of the Empire of Set and Criselli as it's Magistrate. Age of Conan is a mature rated MMO based on the Robert E. Howard’s Conan universe which launched late May. (Note: The game is rated M for partial nudity and graphic violence, but all Empire Rules apply.) We started with roughly a dozen Emps and have been steadily growing. Currently everyone is concentrating on leveling up our characters and a few of us have started to tackle the Elite dungeons scattered thoughout the world. After toiling over many fallen foes and resource nodes our PVE city has been established with a keep. We will have plenty of Free Trials available for other Emps to come on over and try it out as soon as the Devs enable them.

Empire of Elendilmir Celebrates its One Year Anniversary!
Last March our Kinship started with a group of around 12 of us who had played the game since Beta, and today we have grown into a Kinship with around 90 members playing about 250 characters. Our success is due to the efforts of all of our members, and the willingness of everyone to be Emps. Thank you to all who have given so freely of your time and resources to help make EoE a great place to game. The past year has been a pleasure, and we all look forward to many more years of adventuring together in the lands of Middle Earth.

Tarnum Wins 2007-2008 Empire Fantasy Football League!
Grats to Tarnum on a championship year that mirrored the real Superbowl champs in many ways. A slow start, a gradual build-up during the course of the regular season, stunning playoff wins in upsets against higher seeded opponents and of course his team saved their best game for the championship!
New owners will once again be welcomed to join our expanding league for next season, but getting the Empire Cup free from Tarnum's grip will be no small task. Anyone interested in joining the league should contact Relentless or Binkdebook to be added in advance of next year's fantasy draft.
Congrats to Tarnum and all of his players!
